The eyes of the world will be fixated on the clash in New Orleans as Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs look to complete a historic threepeat.
Sunday’s ‘big game’ could see the Chiefs make more NFL history as they look to be the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.
For the Eagles, however, Sunday could see them get revenge from 2023 and lift the Lombardi Trophy.
Where to watch?
In Cheltenham, Deya Brewery & Taproom are showing the game. General entry is £5 and gets you into the venue, however, they are offering a general entry plus pizza ticket for £15.
Doors open at 9 pm, and the bar has advertised ‘Food specials all night from Pig’s Pizzas’ and they ‘will have a shots bar set up for the night, good beer, beer pong available to purchase and Music during the pre-match warm up!’
If you fancy a night in, however, there are multiple options for UK fans, Sky Sports, DAZN and ITV all have the rights for the ‘Big Game’.
Who are the favourites?
It’s hard to bet against the Chiefs, having the best quarterback in the NFL, who is being considered an all-time great already.
Coming into the game having won the last two Super Bowls, looking for a third will take some stopping from the Eagles.
If the Chiefs do pick up the victory on Sunday night, they will become the first team to do so in NFL history.
The Eagles won’t make it easy for them, however, as they look to emulate Rocky 2 and get revenge for 2023 where the Chiefs beat them 38-35.
The man who will give the Eagles the best chance this weekend will be Saquon Barkley, Philly’s strongest attribute is their run game, and the running back will cause the Chiefs’ defence some issues.
Players to watch out for?
Chiefs have a handful of big names that can deliver in the big moments, Patrick Mahomes is undoubtedly the best quarterback in the NFL, and his tight end Travis Kelce loves to make a play when it matters most.
The Eagles’ run game will be the thing that hurts the Chiefs the most, whether that be directly or opening up gaps for Jaylen Hurts to pass into.
Philly’s key components of their run game are Saquon Barkley and A.J. Brown, the latter has been the Eagles’ go-to since 2022, whereas Barkley has shone in Eagles green since joining from the New York Giants this season.
What Celebrities will be there?
This year’s halftime show will see Kendrick Lamar take to the field, the rapper, coming off the back of a huge night at the Grammy’s has kept his plans under wraps.
Another star who will be in attendance is Taylor Swift, the singer will be hoping to see her partner Travis Kelce lift the Lombardi Trophy.
Whilst we can be sure that Swift will be surrounded by Kelce’s family, including former Eagles centre Jason Kelce, it has been reported that she is set to be joined by some of her close friends.
Some of the names being circulated include Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, Selena Gomez and Sabrina Carpenter.
