Serena Williams has withdrawn from her semi-final clash against Ashleigh Barty due to a shoulder injury.
The 39-year old tennis legend beat Danielle Collins in a three set thriller 6-2 4-6 10-6 in the Quarter-Finals.
World number 1 Barty, who beat Shelby Rogers 7-5 2-6 10-4, will have an automatic progression to the final.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner will be hoping to reach full fitness in time for the Australian Open which gets underway on Monday.
Williams won her last Grand Slam in Australia in 2017, and will be aiming to equal the record of 24 Grand Slams if she steps onto the court in Melbourne.
