RUGBY: Gloucester-Hartpury players to start for England Women

Two Gloucester-Hartpury players are set to start for England Women against France, in the Red Rose’s Six Nations test on Saturday 10th March.

Coach Simon Middleton has made seven changes to the side which defeated Scotland 43-8 at the Scotstoun in Glasgow.

In the backline Gloucester’s Ellie Kildunne will start as full back, partnering Wasps duo Danielle Waterman – who scored twice against Scotland – and Abigail Dow on the wings.

Sarah Bern has also retained her place in the front row. The Gloucester-Hartpury forward plays in an unchanged front five, with Wasp’s Amy Cokayne who earns her 40th international cap.

Middleton told Glouceter Rugby’s club website:

“France are a dangerous side, they are physical and well organised in both attack and defence.

“The squad have worked hard this week, prepared really well and we are ready and excited to take on France, in what we know will be a really tough Test game at the Stade des Alps on Saturday night.”
