Gloucester-Hartpury ladies have made two changes to their starting XV ahead of their 14:30 kick off tomorrow at home to Bristol Ladies.
Having won in convincing style, 37-15 against Richmond last weekend, head coach Susie Appleby has had to make two changes in the form of Laura Smith, who comes in to replace Ellie Gilbert at hooker, and Charlotte Faux who comes in for Georgia Bradley at blindside.
The Gloucester-Hartpury combination face a tough challenge in the form of Bristol, who thrashed Firwood Waterloo 59-7 at home last Saturday.
Visitors Bristol currently sit one place ahead of the Gloucester-Hartpury team, who at the moment stand in fifth place in the Tyrrells Premier 15s league.
On their opponents Gloucester-Hartpury head coach Susie Appleby said: “Bristol are an excellent side and have been playing very well in recent weeks; they play a similar brand of rugby to ourselves and like to throw the ball around.
“We are looking forward to welcoming them to Hartpury and whatever happens it should be a really entertaining game.”
Bristol ladies also have had to make two changes to their starting line up. Emily Underwood and Ebony Jefferies come in at second row and blind side flanker respectively after injuries sustained by Kate Newton and Carly Thomas.
The visitors are looking for their fifth consecutive victory and their third away from home.
Two players that the home side need to look out for are Sydney Gregson and Lagi Tuina, both of whom scored hat tricks in their convincing win last weekend.
Bristol head coach Kim Oliver said: “We are expecting a very tough game against Gloucester-Hartpury this weekend. They gave us a very highly contested game in the reverse fixture at Ashton Gate back in October, and they move the ball quickly and have a strong physical presence in the forwards so it will be tough game, especially on the road.
“Last weekend they had an impressive win against Richmond and I am sure they will be looking to improve on that performance this weekend and look to close the gap between us and them in the table, which is why a win this weekend is so important.”
Both teams will be hoping for a win in their round 13 clash, ahead of big games at the start of next month against the likes of top three sides Saracens, Harlequins and Wasps.
Gloucester-Hartpury’s next home match will be at home to Worcester Valkyries in two weeks time
