West Ham will be hoping to maintain their five match unbeaten run as they welcome Sam Allardyce’s West Brom side looking to continue from their win against Wolves on Saturday.

West Brom recently won their first game under Sam Allardyce, and only their second win in the Premier League this season in the 3-2 in the Black Country derby.

The Baggies currently sit 19th in the table, five points from survival, with the team hoping the momentum from their derby victory will allow Allardyce to perform the Premier League survival he has become known for over the years.

They secured the three points on Saturday courtesy of Matheus Pereira, as the midfielder converted two penalties in the match, coming either side of a Semi Ajayi header.

Meanwhile, The Hammers are ninth in the table, and won their last game 1-0 courtesy of an early Michael Antonio effort, and will be the favourites going into the match.

Allardyce has a history with West Ham, previously managing the club from 2011 until his departure in 2015, winning promotion from the Championship in 2011, before taking them to midtable in the League the three following seasons.

The teams most recent matchup was in the FA Cup last season, with West Brom winning 1-0 in that encounter.

In the Premier League however, a draw is certainly on the cards, with nine of them in the previous 20 games between the sides in the competition.

A win for West Ham will see them leapfrog both Chelsea and Southampton into seventh, meanwhile three points for West Brom would see them move above Fulham, although The Cottagers will have two games in hand.

In terms of team news, Michail Antonio is expected to continue leading the attack for West Ham, after Sébastien Haller’s departure to Ajax.

Tomáš Souček will also be one to watch for West Ham, with the midfielder scoring five times in the Premier League already, leaving him the Top Scorer still at the club following Haller’s departure.

West Ham may also welcome back Fabián Balbuena who has missed the last four fixtures due to self isolating.

For West Brom, two former Hammers in Robert Snodgrass and Grady Diagana are both expected to feature against their former club.

Matheus Pereira is expected to retain his spot in the team, after playing all three fixtures since his three match suspension gained in the 3-0 loss to Aston Villa.

Pereira missed the heavy defeats to a resurgent Arsenal and Leeds, as well as the impressive draw away to Liverpool.

The Brazilian has been leading the goal scoring for West Brom this season, scoring four times in the Premier League, while also holding three assists to his name so far.
