EMMANUEL DENNIS
Choosing between Watford’s strike partnership, Emmanuel Dennis and Joshua King, is a tough call to make.
But, Dennis’ 14 goal contributions beats King’s nine so far this season and that is the reason for opting with the Nigerian.
The Hornets face Newcastle and Burnley, both away from home, in gameweek 22, before hosting struggling Norwich City at Vicarage Road next week.
Watford are towards the bottom of the Premier League but the defence is to blame, as they have scored a more than reasonable 22 goals this campaign.
LUCAS MOURA (Β£6.5M)
Heung-Min Son’s injury is a disaster for Tottenham, who had made an excellent start to life under Antonio Conte, but one man that could benefit is Lucas Moura.
Spurs are another of the teams with two fixtures, the North London derby followed by a trip to Leicester, and the Brazilian will be looking to take advantage of the added importance of his role.
Moura recently returned 17 points with three goal contributions in his side’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day, showing he does have the capabilities of a big score.
And, at Β£6.5M, he can be easily transferred into your team, potentially as a Son, Mohamed Salah, or Riyad Mahrez injury replacement.
NEAL MAUPAY (Β£6.5M)
Brighton are one of five teams with a double gameweek, against Crystal Palace and Chelsea, meaning striker Neal Maupay is an intriguing pick to take advantage.
The Frenchman is an extremely inconsistent performer but, with three goals in his last five games, is in one of the better runs of form he has enjoyed in the Premier League.
Add to that, there might not be another player in English football that enjoys a derby day as much as Maupay, who scored a last minute equaliser against the Eagles last time out.
Facing Chelsea is a much tougher proposition but Brighton have shown an ability to create chances against the very best under Graham Potter’s stewardship.
DAVID DE GEA (Β£5.2M)
Manchester United have failed to keep clean sheets in their last three matches, against Newcastle, Burnley and Wolves, respectively, yet a double gameweek of Aston Villa and Brentford remains too enticing of an opportunity to pass up on.
The Red Devils didn’t concede in Ralf Rangnick’s first two games in charge and it should only be a matter of time before they return to shutting out the opposition.
De Gea is the seventh most expensive goalkeeper in the game and has returned the eighth most points, indicating the smallest of underachievements.
Expect the world-class shot-stopper to turn that on its head with a big points haul in gameweek 22.
