Forest Green Rovers claimed local bragging rights in ‘El Glosico’, after a 75th minute header from Myles Peart-Harris secured all three points for Ian Burchnall’s side over Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
Brentford loanee Peart-Harris would calmly head home from Harry Boyes’ free-kick as Rovers claimed back-to-back league victories for the first time this season.
It is also the first time that Rovers have won against their local rivals at the New Lawn since their promotion into the EFL.
Forest Green’s next game is at Pride Park against Derby County on Saturday, with a victory potentially being enough to drag Rovers out of the drop zone, should results go their way.
