Cineworld soft-launched its immersive golfing experience in partnership with ‘The Golf Rooms’ on Friday – welcoming everyone from families to local businesses to play.
The venue, situated in the Brewery Quarter, has transformed its VIP area with cutting-edge technology to combine sports and leisure together into a trendy new space.
As their second venue, the space boasts nine bays featuring widescreens and launchpads to host a range of games which both experienced and first-time players will enjoy.
Aiming to bring together the community, Scott Margetts, General Manager of ‘The Golf Rooms, said: “From beginner to winner, we want it to feel welcoming and accessible.”
Visitors can compete across the globe in real time with the site’s international network allowing players to face off with Canadians, New Yorkers, and Hong Kongers.
The Cheltenham branch also features its ‘premium bay’, a renovated spectating theatre which serves as a cinema-size experience to play in.
Using cutting-edge technology, the booths include trackman units that accurately simulate real-life sports, allowing customers to play leisurely with premium quality.
“The Golf Rooms at Cineworld are a major first for us, blending immersive technology with the big-screen experience in a way our guests have never seen before,” commented Helen Baker, General Manager of Cineworld.
Featuring a licensed bar and private rooms, it is the perfect space for businesses and University students to come and hang out. The experiences cost around £35pp, with costs raising up to £50pp.
Dedicated players can pay for a multitude of memberships when an hour isn’t enough.
The full opening is set to take place from 7th March 2026.
