Gloucestershire Women travel to Radlett on Thursday to take on Middlesex Women in the Metro Bank Women’s One Day Cup Division Two.
The side hasn’t played since they were knocked out of the Women’s T20 County Cup on May 5 as they fell to a 33-run defeat after they failed to chase down 183.
There were some shining lights in the defeat as Izzy Patel ended the match unbeaten on 46 runs off 37 balls. Charlie Phillips picked up three wickets off her four overs for only 21 runs.
Izzy Patel hit an excellent 46* from just 37 balls in Newport!

They’ve had a mixed start to their season with one win and two defeats as they currently sit eighth in the league table with four points. They picked up that win in their first outing of the season as they held on to beat Derbyshire by nine runs in a shortened 38-over match in a complete team effort.
Gloucestershire have since fallen short against Northamptonshire as they lost by 34 runs with Melissa Story top-scoring with 53. Most recently, they were turned over by Glamorgan.
Absolute seed from Caitlin Belcher. Straight on the money with her first ball! ☄

Middlesex currently sit top of the One Day Cup table with three wins from three games and 14 points and they are the only side to still have a flawless record.
2025 has marked a new era for Women’s cricket in the country with the alignment of the competitions with the men’s game, the introduction of a team for all 18 counties and a proper tier one and two system.
Thursday’s fixture will start at 10:30 am in what is their last fixture of the month.
