Former Cheltenham Town youth prospect Cameron Pring was victim of defeat in the EFL Championship play-off semi final as Bristol City were brushed aside by Sheffield United over two legs.
The left-back did not feature in the first leg at Ashton Gate, but played 68 minutes at Bramall Lane before being substituted for Sam Bell.
The Robins lost both ties 3-0, making it a simple 6-0 aggregate victory for the Blades who will face either Sunderland or Coventry at Wembley on the Saturday, May 24.

He then re-signed for his boyhood club in the 2018-2019 season on a loan deal in the January transfer window, but only made eight appearances in his return and failed to score or assist.
Since the brief spell in League Two his career has only been on the rise, as he secured two other loan moves to Walsall and Portsmouth before making a mark in the South West where he has made over 150 appearances.
With Pring’s experience in the second tier and a contract that runs until June next year, it is likely he will remain a starter and arguably become one of Cheltenham Town’s best ever academy graduates since Dave Bird, who made a staggering 329 appearances for the Gloucestershire side between 2003 to 2012.
After being a seasoned full-back for numerous years, the Cheltenham supporters might wish that one day he makes a return to the club.
