Cheltenham Town Women’s manager Tom Davies is “really excited” as his side travel to Stockport County on Sunday to play the North West side in the FA WNL Plate quarter-finals.
“It’s a great opportunity for us. It’s an opportunity to put ourselves in a position where we could be in the semi-finals,” said Davies.
“We’ll go there, we’ll give them the respect that they deserve and we’ll go and put on, hopefully, a really good performance and set ourselves up then for the final two weeks.”

The Gloucestershire based side enter a crucial part of their season and Davies knows the significance of the next two games.
“The next two games are important for different reasons but playing against two different sides, which is nice.
“You know, you’ve been in the league for so long, you play against similar teams and similar players and to go and look and research different players and different systems, it’s nice.”
After the Stockport County game, the Robinesses play Norwich at home in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup third round at Kayte Lane in a big opportunity for the club.
