Eqypt progressed to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations last night with a victory on penalties against Cameroon.
The game finished 0-0 after extra time, before the hosts fell short, missing three consecutive penalties to crash out at the penultimate hurdle.
Former Tottenham player Clinton Njie missed the decisive spot kick, with a lacklustre effort from twelve yards that flew wide of the post.
Cameroon managed to keep Egypt talisman Mohamed Salah quiet throughout the game, but once it got to penalties there was nothing they could do.
Both sides had their chances throughout the game, but neither could convert, and Cameroon ended up paying the price.
Egypt manager Carlos Queiroz will miss the final after he received a red card for remonstrating with the referee.
Cameroon will face Burkina Faso in the third place play-off on Saturday 19:00 GMT.
The final will be played 24 hours later in Yaounde, with two of Liverpool’s star players, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah taking each other on to try and clinch the trophy. Senegal are the favourites to take over Algeria’s reign as African Champions.
