Forest Green Rovers are set to take on Luton Town for the second year running in the first round of the FA Cup.
“Hopefully we can go there and match that second-half performance and give them a game.”
Last time against the Hatters, FGR were cut short after coming back from 3-0 down to bring it level; however, a late winner from Gideon Kodua broke Rovers’ fans’ hearts.
For Kyle McAllister, he scored the second goal for the non-league side.
“I watched the first half on the bench; it was unbelievable to play on that occasion.”
The captain’s reasoning for the comeback was due to the confidence within the team.
“We took a few risks when we were 3-0 down, something we wouldn’t have done earlier on in the game that ultimately gave us confidence.”

McAllister also thought, “It was like a basketball game,” with chances coming from both ends of the pitch.
Despite sitting in 16th place in the National League, the Scotsman has high hopes ahead of the fixture at Kenilworth Road.
“Recently I think we’re playing much better; we’ve got a good bit of positivity now.”
“This time, most of the players have done it before, so they’ll be ready for it this time.”
If Forest Green gets into the second round, they will receive £47,500 from the prize fund.
“Getting to the next round is huge; we just need to prove that we can do it.”
