English outfits Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are set to play French side Lille and Danish side FC Midtjylland in the Europa League Round of 16.
Former Bristol Rovers loanee Lamare Bogarde is a part of the Villa squad for the European competition, and has made seven appearances for the Villains in the Europa League.
Meanwhile, another former loanee, and cult hero, Elliot Anderson has started eight games in the competition for his side Nottingham Forest, including in yesterday’s 2-1 loss but 4-2 aggregate win over Turkish Fenerbahçe.
The draw happened at midday on Friday, February 2, alongside the Champions League and the Conference League, which have happened at 11 am and 1 pm respectively.
Villa finished second in the competitions League Stage, picking up 21 points from eight games, level on points with top of the table Lyon. Forest, on the other hand, finished in the play-off spots, and had to play two additional games against the aforementioned Fenerbahçe.
The fixtures will take place on the week commencing March 9th.
