Forest Green Rovers boss David Horseman highlights the sheer number of injuries his side have suffered this season.
“We have 12 senior players unavailable right now, it’s crazy.”
Goals have been hard to come by recently for FGR and that might have something to do with their striker situation.
“We have lost five strikers in three weeks!”
Horseman was so short on players he was forced to play defender Sean Robertson in a much more attacking role than he’d be used to.
“Sean [Robertson] who is a right back by trade to have to play up front I think people thought I was trying to be clever its just what we had.”

Despite this poor form, Horseman hasn’t lost his sense of humour as he pokes fun at Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou.
“I heard the Tottenham manager moaning the other day about losing a couple of players the other day and I thought – oh you lucky man you only have six missing!”
The injury list is as follows – Luke Daniels (quad), Darnell Johnson, Callum Morton (ankle), Matty Taylor (hamstring), Marcel Lavinier (hamstring), Reece Brown (hamstring), Nathan Holland (hamstring), Ryan Inniss (stress response in shin), Jordon Garrick (quad), Matty Stevens and Kyle McAllister (back).
Highlighting the amount of hamstring injuries in the squad, Horseman gives potential reasons for this.
“A lot of players I’ve mentioned have a significant injury history. Obviously we have a new style and we signed some of the players after the season had started so they had no pre-season which is obviously a huge factor.”
