BREAKING – Forest Green Rovers have signed former EFL goalkeeper Harry Isted

Forest Green Rovers have dipped into the free agent market and signed goalkeeper Harry Isted on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

Formerly of Luton Town, Barnsley and most recently Burton Albion, the 28-year-old keeper have made his way to the National League to boost Robbie Savage’s options between the sticks.

The Englishman brings heaps of experience, playing in the Championship playoff final for Barnsley under former Cheltenham manager, Michael Duff.

He only played three games in League One last season for Burton, hoping that the green army can give him a run of games.

This transfer comes after starting goalie Luke McNicholas was injured before their tie against Luton Town in the FA Cup.

His last appearance in the National League was for Wealdstone, from 2019-2021, from which he got his move to Luton Town in the Championship at the time.

He is likely to feature against Aldershot on Saturday.
