Forest Green Midfielder Liam Sercombe has “Trained well this week” ahead of his return against Boston United

Forest Green face Boston United tomorrow in the National League and that comes with big news for Rovers as Liam Sercombe is back from injury.

In the reverse fixture between the two teams, Sercombe scored a brace and an incredible half-way line goal so his return will be exciting for the fans after making his last performance on the 22nd of October.

Rovers boss Steve Cotterill: “Sercs could be involved this week. That’s a bonus I mean his injury he got over it was the secondary injury that probably slowed him down a little bit.

“Sometimes that’s a benefit the second one that slowed him down was a niggle and we couldn’t get rid of the niggle and he was compensating working either way and probably then thrown more pressure on the previous injury.

“So we shut him down for five days and restarted him again, he’s trained well this week”.

Forest Green are currently sat third in the table two points behind Barnet and York but have a game in hand. On the other side of the table Boston United sit 23rd and five points from safety.

The game is on Saturday 3pm at Eco Park.
