UOG hosts Vegan festival this weekend

Park Campus will host the Cheltenham Vegan Fair tomorrow, where the university will be celebrating all things ethical and plant-based.

The pop up event will have a mix of vegan food and cruelty-free beauty products up for sale throughout the day.

There will also be a full programme of talks on veganism, environmental issues and animal rights.

The event is being organised by Vegan Fairs, a group who advertise and promote veganism. They aim to make the movement more accessible for people by holding talks and events across the South West.

The event will see stalls from local businesses. Some vegan food companies that will be attending tomorrow are:

  • badgers vegan kitchen
  • Balanced Nature
  • Bath Culture House
  • Cococaravan
  • Dark Matters

Vegan festivals are now a nationwide trend. There are a whole host of reasons for why people decide to go vegan but in the era of the climate crisis, more and more people are going plant based. Park Life asked students if they’d consider going vegan.

It starts at 10am on Saturday goes on until 3pm. Tickets are £2 on the door but free for Gloucestershire University students.
