All Premier League teams are set to lose out financially after it was suggested that that the Premier League is set to pay back £762m due to potentially contract breaches with the television companies.
According to The Athletic, the total outlay would be £762million if the coronavirus pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the 2019-20 campaign.
Sky Sports is one the main broadcasters of the Premier League and they set to be hit hard, as well as competitor BT after it was announced that the postponement period for all football from the original date of April 4 to April 30. This makes it certain for any form of football to be continued deep into summer.
It will not just be the Premier League suffering, with numerous clubs on the verge of financial collapse, with Scottish Premiership team Hearts reducing all staff wages by 50% and National League side Barnet allowing all staff, including the players and coaching staff, to effective leave.
